Who do you all recommend? The 02 is due for its 5000 service but i wasnt to happy with the service department of where i bought it from. Im not too interested in some of these big chains either because they seem to rush the bikes in and out and you only talk to the desk dude, not the mechanic. Someone on the eastern side would be good.

Just a short note to anyone interested,I recently had my Hayabusa remapped and tuned by Ron at Balls High Performance Tuning at Sunshine in Melbourne wilst over from Tassie for the World Super`s and I cannot speak highly enough of the service and results of Ron`s work,so if anyone wants more power from there Hayabusa I suggest that you give Ron a ring. His phone number is 03 93648993 or mobile 0407685355

Just had my 02 Busa's first 100 klm service done today by Ron at Balls. Had the faulty GPS switch fixed also. (If you know what I mean?) Have not had the chance to open her up yet. Ron also did some good work on my 99 Busa, he comes highly recommended. There isn't much about the Busa he wouldn't know about. Might not be East enough for you, but I travel 35 minutes to get to him. Just my 2c worth.
Ride safe, regards Phil.

Heard good things about Ron at Balls (even had my bus there years ago)....but....no Dyno, so as far as I'm concerned....no go!
As I said, call Pete. He'll get it up and running....perfect!

Ok, I'll give Pete a call. But can I keep my warranty if he services it?
Sorry Balls, but sunshine is just too many hours travel.

Deano1300

Won't affect your warranty. Fully qualified with a better set up than any Suzi dealer I've seen in Melb.
The best thing is, he does ALL the work himself.....no wet-behind-the-ears apprentices!

Would have to agree with Deano 1300 re Pete's Pitstop.
His dyno makes the suck it & see method outdated. My bike is giving 175 hp with with Yoshi 4-1, remap & fine tuning.

If you want someone to treat your bike like it was there own and handle it with the utmost respect then you can't go past Pete

HI THERE BEESTROYER,
IF YOU THINK BALLS HIGH PERFORMANCE MOTORCYCLE TUNING 9 WESTERN AVE SUNSHINE (03) 9364 8993 IS TO FAR TO TRAVEL TO GET THE BEST SERVICE & TUNE IN VICTORIA IS TO FAR TO TRAVEL THEN YOU ARE A GIRL (OR SCARED OF THE POWER AND PROBLEMS HE WILL RECTIFY ON YOUR BIKE)

I LIVE AT BRIGHT IN COUNTRY VICTORIA AND I HAVE TO AGREE WITH "BUSABABY" & "MONEY FOR JAM" ABOUT RON AT BALLS HE NOT ONLY HAS A GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF THE BUSA BUT ALL BIKES IN GENERAL. I HAVE BEEN THERE ALL THE TIME FOR ALL MY SERVICE AND TUNINING AND WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

I HAVE BEEN THERE NUMEROUS TIMES AND THERE IS ALLWAYS BIKES THERE HE IS SERVICING OR "GIVING EXTRA BALLS" FROM INTERSTATE "QUEENSLAND, S.A., EVEN 2 WKS AGO HE HAD A GUY IN FROM AUBRY BRING HIS BIKE DOWN JUST TO GET A SERVICE DONE ON IT.

HIS MOTORCYCLES ARE REGULARY FEATURED IN PERFORMANCE STREETBIKE MAGAZINE "INCLUDING HIS BUSA"
AND YOU WILL ALLWAYS FIND HIM OUT RIDING AROUND ON NEARLY EVERY SUNDAY OF THE YEAR. A MECHAINC THAT PUTS IN THE HARD YARDS AND DOES HIS OWN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT TO HELP US ALL.

Hey, we don't want to get any wars, here. Don't mind directing people to the products they need, but we don't need to put down others in the process. I personally love the work that Ron has performed on my bike, but have not heard anything that would make me doubt the quality of Petes work either. Yes, he owns, works on, and rides his busa, and would spend as much time and pride on his busa (and his other bike(s), at least one) as any other mechanic. There are many who do rave about his work. I rave about Ron's and obviously so do you. I think we should just leave it at that.

Hi there Village,
If you have a rich mummy and daddy to buy you a Busa and have time to drive it all around the country side cause you dont make your own living then sure... it fine to travel just for a service.

Unfortionately I have things to do. If i was to ride to QLD or SA for a service, I would be riding up every 2nd weekend because i actually ride my bike... its not a show peice. Its my only mode of transport.

And, yes Pete has his own Bus, yes he rides it on the weekends, and yes he let me stand there and watch him service my bike. It wasnt wheeled away out of my sight.

AND... if you live in Bright you had better be comming on our hotham ride in december!!!

Was out at Pete's on Saturday morning chatting away and he said to me that he is confident enough in his work on the Busa that if he can't improve the fuel mapping or max Hp output on the bike then he won't charge the owner. Sounds fair enough to me I say.
So with nothing to lose it may pay to give Pete a call
