Guy at work runs out of petrol in his tin-top. He's not far from home, so his wife comes out with a can for mower fuel, picks up some petrol, and gets him going.
Next day, at work, one girl finds out and decides to bring it up to make fun of him.
"So, you ran out of petrol."
Embarrased response of "yeah..."
Now inquisitive - "What did you do? Did you push it to the service station"
"No, my wife came out with a jerry can and got me some petrol?"
Genuine response - "Gee - How many trips did she have to make to fill you up?"
She didn't understand why everyone laughed!
