Noticed on page 123 of latest mcnews a "gear position sensor" which remaps your ignition for more power.Possible?????? I didnt think so but I may be wrong!

The mod doesn't "remap" your ignition curve as such it just gives full ignition advance in the lower gears & not just 5th & 6th. This is called the TRE mod or "timing retard eliminator"
The gear position switch needs to be modified & it is located @ the 6 o'clock position behind the clutch basket or outer hub. Basically this mod tells the ECU computer that it is in 6th gear all the time & the ECU then schedules full ignition advance in all gears.

correction.... the TRE tells the ecu that it's in 5th gear. This also removes the 300km/h limiter on the later models as the computer thinks that it's still only doing about 270 clicks.
