Busabug

I'm sure every now and then with the large amount of new bikes constantly coming out past few years. As a Busa owner you have a look at something new and think about possibly trading in.

I know I have on occasion, but once you way up all the pros and cons, and the plain fact that the Busa even 8 years old is an incredible machine. There might be other bikes that excel in one or two areas but as an overall package there is nothing better for the price.

yup have to agree. in my almost 40 yrs of riding, I never really kept one bike longer then a few years coz there was always something better out there that I wanted. I now have my busa almost 8 years, have often looked what to "upgrade" to, there was never any such horse. The busa was incrdible 8 yrs ago and still a magnificent bike. The ZX14 does come close but no way far exceeds it. Sure the busa can be improved on and no doubt the major update hopefully later this year will be better. But even if a better one came out, Im keeping this '99 copper its legendary and an icon, so will have to have 2 bikes.
+1 what he said above.
It's not always what we think of our ride... sometimes its the vibe we get from others....

(intro to a poem me thinks !)

Average Joe Hayabusa

I'm looking at this average Joe, who sits across from me.
He looks like any other, nothing special I can see.
Two arms and legs, he needs a shave, appearances don't tell
That this guy rides a Hayabusa and by crikey... rides it well.

I've wondered if I had 'the stuff', the balls to choose that ride.
I've often thought "Too much for me!", I just might not survive.
So there must be something 'bout him, but from here I just can't tell
Coz he rides that Hayabusa.... rides it fast and rides it well.

I'm taller, stronger, fitter. He looks like any other Joe !
My leathers blaze with colour, my bike has lots of go.
But I look upon his brooding beast, on its side-stand large as life
And tell myself "Too much for me, I'll only get in strife !"

So tell me, how does average Joe control and tame that beast ?
Beneath that calm exterior, must lurk Hercules at least !
But the answer is quite obvious, I've known it from the start.
Its not strength, but courage. Average Joe's just got more heart !
