hey people the GSX 600 Swingarm is that an easy fit to a busa or is there mods that need to be done to it is it the same overall length

Will it bolt right up and is it strong enough for me to run on my bike or do i need to get it underbraced to make it safe I like the idea of getting that great big ugly box out of the busa arm
Bill I bellieve it is Shorter and from what I have read not all models bolt up.
Its ~30mm shorter, lots use them un braced have to fit the 600 pivot too , prob i have with mine is the busa pivot mount is further back and the shock can rub the inside of the swingarm unless very low, also the centre line on mine (srad 600) is about 5mm different, and needs washers to correct the offset on the dogbones but the shock just has to cope

Bill,
Search Canadian Mike on .org. He sells them with all linkages and spacers (bolt in) and will underbrace and extend to any length, all for a fair price.

Here ya go

Yeah Canadian Mikes 600 arms are awesome.. I have one sitting in my hot little hands as we speak.. just got it back from the powdercoaters.

heres some pics.. notice the extra long billet slider to eliminate extra long swingarm bolts for the wheel axle...

Only problem is he won't ship swingarms directly to Australia.. you'll have to find a bloke in the usa to go via...

The welding is 2nd to none... perfect welds and workship... I'm very impressed.

From a drag racing perspective there is no top bracing so the bike can be lowered further without hitting the underside of the battery.

From a twisties perspective they are 30mm shorter.

Financially they are heaps cheaper than a custom swingarm but they need to be done right or you will have trouble with rear suspension linkages and clearance.

What he said Very Happy

I have had a chat with Canadian Mike and he has offered just the billet blocks to be sent over if i have a good welder over here which I do but he hasnt answered my question on what years fit and do i need to have it underbraced or not he will ship the blocks out for me but wont ship the whole arm go figure no rush here I am just sticking my big toe into the ocean to test the waters and find solutions
Bill I know you want a 600 Arm but I have a 4 Inch over Busa Arm here if you are interested. I wont be using it, going longer!

Arm was extended with Super Bike Mike Adjusters in a jig by professional, will post picks when I get home.

$440 for the arm extra $105 for powdercoating if you want it these are USD prices ok as for shipping I will have to email a friend in the states and find out how much he reckons from Canada to US is and then to here apparently the US customs really give anything a coming from Canada a hard time but even worse if its coming here so its easier to ship interstate so to say than ship directly to OZ
