Anyone game enough to go for ride this weekend. Apparently, and this is word of mouth from another member who was told by the cop that pulled them over, there were upto 400 police in SE Qld Hinterland and Northern Nsw last weekend carrying out RBT's and L&R checks. Him and his group got pulled twice in around 600m before giving up for the day, and another group I heard of got similar treatment.

I for one will be leaving my bike parked up over the hols period. Gold Coast police are getting a little bit over zealous with their checks and tickets.

A buddy of mine was stopped 4 times between Canungra and the border last weekend when they decided they'd had enough.
A girl I spoke to in Miami yesterday said she went to Byron and back yesterday without seeing a single patrol? Work that out!
Me, I think I'll be waiting till I get back mid Jan for my next good day out. (too much to do before we sail away)

Merry Xmas all.

Rode yesterday all around the hinterland without seeing even 1 cop. Did get waved down a few times, but they must have been breaking camp fairly often.

Have to give them credit, high visibility DOES slow us down..speed cameras don't!
Hardly surprising when there's been 25 bike riders killed so far this year in SE Qld alone!!!
