ha ya, trade-in offers...silly me enquired about change-over on my staid, but perfectly fine BA Futura 86k kms for a XR6 turbo...they offered $6,500 or about half realistic private sale.

Thing is object of my short-lived desire Xr6t was roughie, asking $19,990 97k with 330kW APS kit and honestly after looking at my nursed NA 6cyl..wasn't feeling so bad after all.

XR was lowered, fr tyres all scrubbed out, mags scatched...good luck selling the heap, dealer was going on about $9k receipts, upon examining paper work it had bent a conrod and needed new engine cpl months ago...stay away I thought no wonder cheap - thought the APS stageII kit was relatively understressed (9.5psi, w/ uprated injectors & pump). Musta had a hammering to destroy it.
I had a 1998 Ford LTD. Nice car, well kept. interior was perfect. Few stone chips on the outside. $75k new price. Back in 2005 with 108,000klm on it I was offered $6k as a trade on a $90k Audi.
Told them to jam the Audi.

I should have taken it. Ended up getting $5k for it as private sale.
Never did buy an Audi.Icon_rolleyes Got a Honda instead.
