The Barry Sheene Memorial Race Meeting is being held over the weekend of the 21st, 22nd & 23rd of March 2008.

Is any of the Sydney Crew considering going? I will be working out of Sydney for 6 weeks and I wouldnt mind tagging a long to check it out as it looks like a good day or 3 out!
I am trying to get there on the Sunday.
I see on the calendar that the AUS Superbikes are on the 15th and 16th March and the Historic meeting is on over Easter 22nd and 23rd of March.

I'll be shooting for the 23rd.

You better be a good shot Kwaka, I'm not as fat as those pigs you hunt.

It was a pretty good day for racing today.
I wasn't at the track on Saturday but there were a few rain delays and the races started early today to catch up the backlog.
That made it an even better day with just about back to back races from 9am onwards.

Early in the day, it appeared that competitors outnumbered spectators but by lunch time there was a fairly good crowd hanging around the track checking out all the vintage and veteren bikes etc.

Some photos to follow but I didn't have a tele lens with me so just some snaps I'm afraid.
Thought I recognised this beastie!

Was a good day, condensed program made it all the better.

Sorry I didn't catch up with you Shayne.
I missed Simmo by a few minutes too but I wanted to do a run of the Putty Rd on the way home.

Some snaps.

Unfortunately a brand new 1098 Tricolour came to grief on the Putty this afternoon on his first day out.
He hit a diesel spill in front of the Bulga Pub and slid for about 20 metres on the right side wiping out his fairing, mirror, etc.
He was lucky to be able to carry on back to Sydney with no broken levers or bones.

Scary
Did you give the poor bugger a back hander (not for coming off) because he didn't get a new K8
I tried to catch you but I forgot how fast the Blue K8s are Roll
Hi Shayne didn't know you were down here already are you down for a while now Coolsmiley
Here for another 5 weeks, will have my bike from next weekend, just need to organise a few things. Looking at the Calendar I hope to be out for the Bracket Attack and maybe the Test N Tune on the 12th, not much else on offer from WSID
Shayne did you remember to bring the radial strap bracket for me Confused
