This is done with throttle bodies on bike.
No need to remove any cables etc just lift the tank.
Use a pair of pointy nosed pliers & just bend the stopper pad back.

Job done.

You could undo the screw but it wont achive the same result.

WARNINGS
1) watch the position of lever on cold start up now as the rpm will rise higher than normal so adjust the position to suit.

2) dont forget you have it on when you try to stop
