Bike checks out fine, heading to Elmirage for a meet on the 14th and World of Speed at Bonneville 17-20
Hope to step up the speeds a little, found if i remove some of the sprocket cover bolts i can gear it a bit higher, running on the limiter at the moment..

Good luck Greg, might get to see you on the foxtel, they have been playing an old episode of Bonneville on one of the channels.
If I got some time off, i'd like to see the action in person at Lake Gairdner, maybe one day, when the yanks feel compelled to beat the worlds best they'll need to come down under!

Pics are a bit difficult ,on a mates computer and its a slow connection, have a few for when i get home on the 26th.
Probably not much on tv , landspeed racing is not commercial enough, a good thing realy,

Ev had the score of the Bubs meet, offered a ride on a late (for her anyway) V max which she ran 14x mph (sorry can't remember the exact figure) then a guy with a turbo 06 gixxer offered her a ride with it setup as a naked bike, 181mph no fairings.. now the R1 is not good enough and a turbo is needed on something... anything... must have boost.....
El Mirage was interesting, clay pan 1.3 miles long course with a 1 mile runoff, i had 1 rookie run at 134mph but as it was a 1 day event with limited runs available and i had to go through licencing (125-150 mph then 150-175 then 175-200 then 200-250 then 250 +) I handed the bike to Jim as he only had to do a rookie run then could run for his A licence (200-250)
but track conditions had deteriorated and he could only manage 188 on the last pass of the day,(only just faster than a std 08 busa) The bike flairing wildly in 5th then bogging in 6th as he shifted into pre boost revs (8000rpm before anything happens)
Packing today to return to Bonneville tomorrow, higher gearing and more boost
