Gravy, saw a dyno chart from a 08 fireblade today, the air/fuel was almost perfect with stock map, so a power commander would do bugger all untill it need more fuel from mods. Most current bikes, 08/09 are pretty good out of the box., not like 99/00 busa's where. The k&n is possably worse than a stock air filter. Leigh

True it is that some dyno's may differ >>>>>>>>>> in Hp figures and also specific to the day in some cases makes them neither honest or dishonest Coolsmiley But A/F readings as for correct Air / Fuel ratio should not if their fuel measuring equipment is calibrated correctly Coolsmiley
As for the argument Popcorn "Can be tuned BETTER with a good mechanic" Wtf
If he hasn't got an A/F Meter then he's "Guessing It" Eek
"Gravy" did you get A/f reading print outs ?
G'day mate. He gave me aprint out, think it had km/hr on the botttom, and HP on the side. I'll have to bring it in to work and check it out. I'll let u know.

Hi guys im only new on the scene.I own a factory 2007 which was playing up.I took it to a workshop where i found out the mapping sensor was playing up{sitting right on top of the motor inside airbox and reading hot air}was making the bike run rich and should be moved out of the airbox and into the air duct at the front of the bike. Dyno results were 158hp @10000rpm 195ftlb torque 240kmph but the AFR was all over the shop down as low as 6 as high as 9 before flat lining at 12 @7000rpm WAY TOO RICH. I fitted a PCIII now have 162hp@8700 205ftlb torque AFR 13.8 and 13.2. The extra torque and Hp that i`ve recieved with the PCIII makes the bike easier to ride with no hesitation down low and mid range. I done a 10.82@137mph with a 2sec 60ft as a factory bike, and been told theres possible 9s if i can get the guts to launch at 3500rpm and get it down to 1.6.

Thanks 4 the reply. yes it was the air temp sensor i moved,. and after the PC111 was fitted the torque curve from the 1st dyno to the 2nd there was a significate transformation Instead of reving to 10000rpm to get 158hp, it was now getting 162@ 8700rpm. I opened the bike up 4 the 1st time last night and the amount of power it has now
[lifts the front tyre for 2 gears under full acceleration then i dropped to top gear and backed off] craps all over the factory tune. "It didn`t do that before".

Are you at stock height?good luck trying to do a 1.6 60ft at stock height with the stock clutch, and then following it through for a 9,unless you weigh 50kg.An exhaust and a tune may give you 2 tenths not 9 tenths and you,ll have to get alot braver than 3500 with a pipe on it if you want to launch hard.Do your research and sign up for the drags every week for a couple of years and then you,ll go fast.your dyno chart looks like you,ve got equal length velocity stacks in it.
