12 2.5A too much for bike battery - Monyx - 27-10-2008

I bought an Arlec battery charger which lists among suitable applications car/bike/boat, will its output 12v 2.4A cook the bike battery or would be okay to put it on for say 2-4 hrs?

1.6A would have been better but for a short period like 2 hours, it may be ok.
You may be able to give it just enough juice to get it started and then go for a ride. That would be better.

shoudl be ok.

considering i hook them up to my 15a charger all the time :)
if they are dead, i bash them with 15 amps for a few hours and then down to 4 amps for atleast 12 hours and it brings them back to life Very Happy
