Taller Battery - horndog - 23-02-2009
Has anyone fitted a taller battery to the busa or do they know if you can get away with another 25mm in height without interference form the seat? I am looking at the CTX12-BS over the CTX12A-BS. Mainly only becasue I need a battery now and this is the only one available at short notice.

I think there is only about 15mm clearance put something soft on your battery like pudy and see how far seat squashes down

ytz14 is what i use,works good with the ytz7s ive also got lol.same dimensions as stock 230cold cranking amps.Fast by gas has some big battery that has 300+ cranking amps but you have to cut the underside of the seat out to fit it.

I did some measurements this arvo and with the custom undertail I made, the taller battery should just fit. I was getting worried about getting a replacement before the test and tune on Wednesday and the Westernats this weekend cos all the usual suspects had nothing but found one close to home this arvo.
