Clutch Setting for Busa - Bill Gaheer - 23-03-2009

HI,

Just installed new Clutch, today I noticed that when the bike is not ON and I put it in gear it seems that bike is engaged in gear and wont move ahead even with lever completely depressed.
It works fine when the bike is turned on - it moves on half clutch (but noticed a shudder)

What am I missing?

Question 2>
I have ordered Starter clutch, do we have any existing post on DIY on replacing Starter clutch.

Cheers,

Bill

just the oil on the fibres and if it shudders maybe a couple of warped steels. Also check if you put the cushion ring back in properly.

Hi Spamanglenn,

The fiber were dipped in Oil for good 24 hours. Steel Plates looked fine - I have a working clutch which I replaced.

I coundnt understand "check if you put the cushion ring back in properly' - my be if you can explain a bit it would help.

cheers,

Bill

New plates may drag a litle till run in, had a set of non oem plates do that to me once before, actually dragging me through the lights at the drags, put them on the shelf and there still there 2 yrs later..
