With the old version of the forum I used to click the "View Today's Posts" menu item and then after the list had been displayed I would use the resulting URL as my home page.
After the upgrade that stopped working because the URL has a dynamically calculated sid which stops working after some indeterminate period of time eg:
http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/search.php?action=results&sid=2d8b6bd085b1ced9dd35bca5fde8dc62
I just figured out that the correct URLs to use as your home page, or short cuts to perform the most common functions are as follows:
View New Posts - http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/search.php?action=getnew
View Today's Posts - http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/search.php?action=getdaily
Unanswered Topics - http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/search.php?action=getuap
Private Messages - http://www.australian-hayabusa-club.com/MyBB/private.php
To use any of the above four URLs for your homepage, right click it and "Copy Shortcut" and paste it into your homepage setting.

I noticed this too.
The majority of the time I use my iPhone on the site and I gets fustrating trying to select new posts and not sign out with big fingers like mine.
