Won't start in gear - BEAU - 16-05-2011 Mentioned to the guys when we met last week that once I stalled at a set of lights and it wouldn't start in gear with the clutch pulled in, resulting in me looking like a dick (more than usual) getting it to neutral. Only thing I'm now thinking is maybe the pazzo's I have are causing the problem with the clutch switch?? Anyone had the same problem or do the Genll's only start in neutral with the clutch pulled in? But I still have to pull the clutch in to start it. I've only stalled it with the pazzo's on to. Cheers. RE: Won't start in gear - fasterfaster - 16-05-2011 Beau adjust the lever further from the bar with the adjuster and then retry it ............. probably find that will fix it. Give me buzz re another matter . cheers RE: Won't start in gear - BEAU - 16-05-2011 I can hear the switch ticking on/off while pulling in/out. I can only adjust the span, and even on the closest setting can still hear it working. I'm at a loss as rod recons his Genll starts in gear with the clutch pulled in. Rod dis I upset you? Is this like asking for a can of striped paint? The bikes only 7k old. RE: Won't start in gear - Ward P - 16-05-2011 To make sure it definitely isn't the switch, bridge it out and then try. At least that will totally eliminate or prove whether the lever/switch has anything to do with it. This has got me thinking . . . ![]() if people buy pazzos because they feel good, but then have to adjust them to a different position so they work, doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of buying them in the first place? ![]() RE: Won't start in gear - BEAU - 16-05-2011 I'm not sure why I didnt think of that myself ward. Thanks. If they are the prob I'll be pissed cause they're spost to be the best matching set (I don't like folding type) and I payed through the nose from the factory in cally cause I wanted them engraved. I would defiantly try bridgeing the two wires first As Wardy said. if it is the switch dont panic easy fix If you need help let me no i can pop over anytime and i found my tool i was looking for to sort that light problem you have out as well ![]() RE: Won't start in gear - Legend - 17-05-2011 If it starts in neutral but not in gear, I'd check the stand switch . RE: Won't start in gear - BEAU - 17-05-2011 Thanks guys. Try all tonight and let you all no. Cause I need to pull clutch to start. Just won't do it in gear. RE: Won't start in gear - BEAU - 17-05-2011 Took the cover off, gave the stand switch about 20 of full in out jabs, turned the key, put her in gear, and she started straight up. Problem solvered. Thanks for the advice all. RE: Won't start in gear - drworm - 17-05-2011 squirt some rp7 on it RE: Won't start in gear - ROD - 17-05-2011 (17-05-2011, 09:16pm)drworm Wrote: squirt some rp7 on it And take stand of clean and greese |
