Goodby rego stickers - Shifu - 01-06-2011
Not sure if many riders know that from today the abolition of the rego labels comes into force in SA. That means that there will be no more need for the rego stickers to be displayed on the light vehicles including MOTORBIKES
. So now we can chop off the ugly bottom half of the rear fender and expose more of the wheel 
Now we are just waiting for the implementation of the second good idea - removing of the CTP from bike registration

It's great not having to have rego tags but be aware if SA is anything like WA, the State Government will find a nice bonus in people having to relicense their vehicles as they missed paying the due rego and third party insurance on time.

I havn't displayed a reg label for years. The one for my Busa lives in the hump and my car one lives in the glovebox.
I've never had any issues with Police as I've always been able to produce it on demand and so far all have been cool with that.

You might just be lucky. Here, it has to (was to) be displayed in a visible and clearly readable location on the vehicle. I guess for the farking parking inspectors...

I am sure you are right. They have found another way and are getting ready to screw the motorists again... just changing the position

Anyone after a used rego tube ? Shifu, Let's leave the CTP alone mate , at under $500 anual rego including CTP ,the interstaters would love that price .Cheap for a Busa .

Pete, I am always ready to pay less. $500 is a set of tyres I could use instead giving it away to our beloved government so they can buy another "safety" camera to protect me.

What I mean is that some of the NSW blokes pay $800 plus ,Just for CTP,
We all get the same price regardless of driving record . SA GREAT .I Can't see it lasting though , the greedy prick's will soon follow the rest .

In the NT all we have for bikes and trailers are a replaceable sticker on the number plate, maybe 2"x 2" that has the month and year punched out of it.
They send you the re-newal notice/ reminder in the mail about a month before its due to expire.
All you need to do is place the new sticker over the old one and its all done, cant get much simpler than that.

There is a link on the SA ezyreg page to check Registration Expiry Dates & the SA Gov are starting a Phone hotline in July as well
Do what ya got to do - Put reminders in your phone, stick post it notes on the dog, or even make up your own label if that is what it will take to save you a fine

The current expiation fee for driving an unregistered vehicle is $258 and $517 for driving an uninsured vehicle. The maximum penalty for driving an unregistered vehicle on a road is $2,500 regardless of who owns the vehicle
