Speedo Alterations - rai1300 - 09-12-2003 Has anyone successfully replaced the Speedo face plate? i.e. Replaced the 'limited' version with the older 340 Limit version? By successful I mean recalibrated with some level of accuracy! If you have done this can you tell me what you did and how much it all cost? Thanks in advance.... Raimond. Re: Speedo Alterations - OhzOne - 09-12-2003 That's easy!!, buy a set of indiglo's from Speedhutspeedhut 220mph indiglo then in the notes stipulate Kmh Then go to speedohealer.com speedohealer web page and order a speedo healer (cheaper than a Yellow Box) recalibrate the Healer to suit the new gauges "340kph and enjoy the indiglo's at the same time!. I also have a 2000 blue/silver I went to Australia in 1971 but they would not let us off the ship. I was a marine headed for Vietnam then. this is more of a test post , but I enjoy reading the post from you guys. Re: hello down under - use2b - 31-12-2003 many reasons. for one it is the most fascinating country on earth for an outsider who has spent many years watching mostly wildlife movies [ more than the good ole croc hunter Steve Irwin] also being a history buff- It is clear that Australia has been a very reliable friend to the US always. [ not to say that I agree with everything we do ] and with some top notch - tough troops , so I say thanks to you all. then I see you also have Hayabusa's so I just had to say hello. I traded my 1993 honda goldwing in on this bike and really enjoy it. My world adventures are now over and I will never see your country but have met many Australians here and never met a single one I did not like. well take care guys and be careful on those powerful machines. Re: hello down under - peter altas - 27-01-2004 doesn't converting the speedo then recalibrating it put the odometer way out? (clocking up more kay's than you're actually doing?) Peter Altas BUSA-1 converting the speedo then recalibrating - OhzOne - 27-01-2004 No peter, it works out the opposite, the ododmeter is just as "out" as the speedo stock and correcting the speedo helps to correct the odometer, in fact your mileage is cranking up more so without a speedohealer!.
