My busa is for sale :( - Speedzalot - 30-09-2007
Well I got done speeding again today (doulble demerits)and well I need my licence for work so my busa is for sale. I am still not sure what I should ask for a black/silver 2005 with just under 30.000k's but I will include all my riding gear and race stands.
It has the following mods,yoshi slipons,rad grills,Ventura rack with large bag,welded clutch,.98 kilo racetech front springs+revalve,small airbox mod and tuned by Cole at 10/10th's
This is a nice well keeped bike it would be nice if it went to a club member or friend.

There is life after Busa but its a slower pace
thats all it takes is a twist of the grip at the wrong time.

The bugger got rolling down hill(my hand was off the gas)from a 100 to 80 zone,mind you he could have gotten the cars all around me but thats life when you deal with pigs.

Similar thing happened to me with my '99 copper. Not sure was my most regrettable decision. To speed, or to sell the bike afterwards. (which was really a knee jerk reaction).

Hang on to it Speedy. If you still have some points, why get rid of the bike?
Even if it is 3 or 6 months off the road, it goes pretty quick.
You can still have a ball on a busa at or near reasonable limits and then when the opportunity is there, you can cut loose...

I'm sure many of us are or have been in the same situation.
I'm almost at the end of my 12mths on 1 point.
I hadn't had a speeding fine for nearly 10yrs. That all changed when I bought the Busa.
Lost 16 points within 9mths & was given the 3mths suspension or 12mths on 1 point option.
To be honest I haven't really ridden much different to normal.
Just a lot more aware of where the cameras are & where the mobiles will / would be.
So my advice is;
Take the 1 point option (if it's open to you) & just tone it down a bit.
At least you can keep the Busa.

We don't get that luxury in NSW Louwai..
But you can certainly ride slower and be more aware..
It is just like looking out for any hazards on the road in some respects.

Stay away from the gap and railway tracks etc the coupla months between busas was a killer for me.
