210 h/p stock VMAX - The Ant - 27-11-2007 Hhmmm looks like the 08 busa and bking engine has some competition. The new Yamaha 2008 VMAX pumps out 210 hp. http://www.starvmax.com/?gclid=CPfQqZGC_Y8CFRsFagodvkR8Mg RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - NEMESIS - 28-11-2007 Is that how it will look like when it gets released though? RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - edris - 28-11-2007 I dont like the look of it and I don't see a competition there for zx14 or busa cause that thing couldnt handle like any of them and top speed again no chance cause I don't see any Aerodynamic and It is also freaking ugly um yeh I think im done haha RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - BLACKZOOK - 28-11-2007 Dont really give a f*** what it looks like, my thoughts keep coming back to 210hp stock with potential for more. Wonder how the bottom end would handle a turbo. I've been looking around for something to buy since I cancelled my order on the fugly 08 busa, this might have potential. ![]() RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - copperjosh - 28-11-2007 arrrr...someone is seeing what i've been thinking..by now i thought the mighty 08 would have grown on me..but it will never hold a tee to the looks of the earlier models & u could just turbo one of them cheaper anyway. but that is some serious power...corrupting....lol RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Mutha - 28-11-2007 Me like ![]() RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - black13 - 28-11-2007 ive always liked the look of the vmax, with those sort of figures it would be an awesome second bike, ![]() but it wont be long before all manufacturers will chase those figures cheers roll on jindy ![]() RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Monyx - 28-11-2007 I hope they fixed the rest of it tho'....my couple of rides on a Vmax were scary trying to use the power in anything but an accelerating straight line.....perfect for the drag strip addicts. Mark RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - lee8sec - 28-11-2007 Pity about the shaft drive for drag racing. All they need to do is release a "race kit" to take it back to the 295hp. Leigh RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Tony Nitrous - 28-11-2007 Might be aimed at the B-King market, Its certainly better looking than one. At a glance, it seems fairly low spec running gear..? With twin shocks, shaft drive and non-usd forks I think a Busa or B-King would be more than a match for it in the real world, whatever its horse power claims. I remember all the hype from the original V-Max release. The Ultimate muscle bike, The Monster hot-rod etc etc, Even the full power 140+ponies still got its arse kicked on street and strip by various big Suzuki's of the time. I've rode a couple of the old one. I'd own one at the right price but always thought they were over rated. Leigh Do elaborate.... RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Gnarbunkle99 - 29-11-2007 A V-max is not one of them "must have" stand out models, RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Rev - 02-12-2007 Vmax.........owned one for 5 years....95 model..........red/black......(of course)..............loved it ![]() It handled good for what it was.......... ![]() The brakes worked good too.... ![]() ![]() If the next Vmax looks like the prototype we saw 18 months ago they might sell a few. On the other hand, the B King looks fugglier than ever, they should have stuck with the original concept from 2 years back. That exhaust is a disgrace to motorcycling, must have been on the Saki when they bashed that tinware together. ![]() RE: 210 h/p stock VMAX - Tony Nitrous - 03-12-2007 Rev Wrote:On the other hand, the B King looks fugglier than ever, they should have stuck with the original concept from 2 years back. I agree, the original concept bike was MUCH better, they didn't need to ruin it with the headlight and exhausts to get it into production, Shame. Those HUGE exhausts everyone comments on... aren't !!! They are just covers. Not part of the system. |
