Hi all,
just a quick query as to radiator guards like those sold by radguard. On the road for 2 weeks later next month. Are they worthwhile and has anyone used/using them??????
cheers

G'Day gday,
I've always used radguards and i think that they are a pretty good product, but I've got
to say that their prices have climbed a fair bit since I got mine.I'd be pricing a 2nd hand
radiator first for a benchmark. Probably also need to factor in the cost of fixing engine
damage from overheat if you holed your rad and cooked your mot. I guess the main
question would be how many Bus riders without them have holed their radiators??
Anyone???
Cheers Bone

Get some sort of guard for sure. Especially if you are riding with other busa's and coming second. I holed mine once, got it repaired and a guard, never been hurt since. The dude that fixed the radiator made me a s/steel one for $50
New guard. $50
New radiator. $1300
No contest really

I have always had a good run out of Warp Speed guards. I get them off ebay through Rated R Parts. Usually $150 for radiator and oil cooler set.

Pricey but does the job.
