Hi,
Do we have some good deals on tires here in Perth, like one from MCA or Action in Sydney – i.e. front and rear installed for $400 or $350 un-installed?
Cheers,
Bill

Not sure about deals here in Perth, I nailed a rear tyre just recently and got some pretty outragous prices and the best price that I could get just for the rear was $300 but in saying that I was quoted up to $500. The guy tried to ram down my throat that the tyre for the busa is a special order and you have to get them in blah blah he's full of shit...
Looking at some of the prices that I have read on here for a set of tyes it would be cheaper to buy from the east and pay to get them sent over.

Hi,
What is the recommended tyre for Perth, I think due to hot weather - I have created a bald strip on my soft compound tyre (just the centre bald strip due to highway riding) in just about 600 KM. The tyre had done about 2000 KM in Sydney and was in great condition.

Bill

Hi Bear what sort of K's and riding do you do, I'm currently using the standard 015's at the moment and seem to be OK for wear..That's a mixture of freeway running and runs into the hills
Some guys have been using the PPCT2's but I haven't tried these yet so I'm not sure what they are like even though I'm partial to the Michelin. I'm pretty happy with the 015 on the rear I just want something softer in the front will probably try the 016 next with the 015 rear. If not happy with that I reckon I will swap over to the Michelin

Just crawled under my bike. I'm running Pilot Power. (006). They were sold as hard centres and soft sides.
I haven't drag raced them, nor done many Kms on the road. But did a track day on them and they seemed fine. I've had them on for around 18months, but most of that time I have had Shinko softies on for drag racing, so they sat on spare rims.
Bagheer, I got mine at the Husqvarna shop in Vic Park. Just along from McCulloch Suzuki. I'm sure I paid around $200+ for the rear after staking the original. $350 for a pair sounds good though. There's lots of Pirelli Corsa types now, from what I understand, so you'd need to make sure you got the right ones I guess. My first track days were on Pirellis and I loved them, still have a very lightly worn front if you want that for nothing! When I put a new Michelin on the back the Pirelli front came off as well.

Hi Bear,
Thank you for the offer, I have a almost new front, my rear tyre will need replacement in next few weeks. I will check Husqvarna shop in Vic Park - $ 200 is not a bad price for a single rear tyre. I still remember I use to buy them for $80 in US for a Busa...:)
Cheers,
Bill

We're shortly shifting to Vic Park, and I do a fare bit of buying at McCulloch. Depending on who is serving you can get a good deal. I got a full set of fairings (scratched but are the ones now in my photos) for a carton of beer! I'm going back soon for a chain. I just cleaned mine and found small slivers of O rings! I'd say it's done it's time!
