All Queenslanders,
The link is to an on-line petition lobbying the Qld government to introduce a "Return Deposit" on drink containers. Bottles, cans etc. Same as is currently happening in SA.

If this is introduced in Qld it will greatly reduce the amount of garbage around the streets, and will also reduce the amount of broken glass around the place as well.

If you think it's a good cause, please sign.

Yeah agree Rod, but personally I'd be happy to pay 5c more if it will reduce the amount of rubish & broken glass around the place.

I can't let my kids play on the swings until I've checked the ground beneath it for broken glass.
2 wks ago I we were at the park & some cocksucker had positioned broken glass in the fork of a tree right where the kids would reach up & grab to start climbing.
Sick people. purposly trying to hurt kids.

I used to live in SA in the mid 70s i have a retarted brother that is ten years older than me and back then he used to travel around back roads colecting cans with a old bike and hand made trailer as he wanted to buy a good race bike Peddle one and over time he raised over $3000 mum still has the newspaper clip somewhere 3k was a lot of money back then
