What a top road Smitten

Weather is perfect today, and had some errands to run in Albury, so took the 'bus over the Granya Gap. Two things came to mind, What a top road, and doesn't the 'busa do it effortlessly.

Heaps of bikes about, and
couldn't help but show off a little along the river road as I rounded up a Beema who was struggling on a tight line around a lefthand sweeper. This is where the old busa is still in a class of her own. Had heaps of vision ahead, so rolled up behind, and as he braked and tightenned his line, I simply rolled the old girl on around the outside, top gear, nice and smooth, turned in my seat and gave him a little wave on the way past. One handed, the busa just laydown, rock solid and by the time we'd come out he was only a dot in the mirrors.
(sometimes you just have to Showback)

There might be a lot of faster bikes, and more expensive bikes on the road, but I reckon the ol'busa is all class, and still commands plenty of respect.

With that in mind though, it has to be said that the ole Busa can be a bit of a danger to other motorcyclists. Because when I was riding home from work on Tuesday of last week, some poor bugger on a little Honda CBR125 coming the other way damn near crashed at a roundabout as he craned his neck to take in the awesome sight of a Busa just moseying along. It almost feels cruel for me to go too near some riders because I know they will get jealous.
