1/8th mile cattle grids???

Shinko's etc are all the rage now. But if you only race on an air strip, with 10mm cuts every 90mm would a wrinkle slick not be a viable option to maximise contact. Given that with a short wheelbase our turbo wheelstands. (stupid like). At 5 inches over it basically spins the entire track. This is at 12psi on street rubber. I know we like to keep our stuff all tight. But I'm being beaten by a Kawasaki. We can't have that, can we?Wtf Can somebody help?Scary

Shinko make a flat slick now ( reactor ) from what i've read they're pretty good. I know when our track up here is slippery, only the people with flat slicks do any good.

I think i will happily resign even trying to beat you out there goat, i'm not planning a turbo and i weigh about 40Kg more than you too Pi_freak and as you get dialled in you'll be a bullet, can't wait to see the true competition between you and Terry.
Lol3
Yeah but i think it's fair to say that Terry's ZZR is FAR from standard.
Slammed rear shock, drag strapped front, flat drag rear tyre, lightened lots, handmade fibreglass fuel tank and bodywork, custom underslung straight through race exhaust, oh and he weighs about 50 Kg's ringing wet IN his leathers..... His fastest time out there was i think from memory 6.55 for the 1/8th at the meet. Clap
Every (k) over is a THRILLER ! Pi_tongue

Thanks mate, I'm learning patience. Wev'e got a lot of adjustments we can make. But he is still quicker than us. Drag straps are cheap, and adjustable. They really could help you. All of ET is the first 60ft. Your currently quicker than us. And you can still go quicker. Weight is not an issue on this track. My bike might be quicker with you on it with the long wheelbase.
IT's all good. Terry knows were coming. Thats what makes it all fun!Lol2 I know he's got more left.
There is meant to be a 300hp R1 hiding somewhere too.
We have an 130hp that we are not even looking at yet, untill we sort what we have.
We are looking at a second Backet maybe 7.99 index for the hogs etc. So everyone can have crack at winning something.
Maybe making the fastest 4 race in the last round to win. Not just quickest time. Make some real racing. I will let you know as it evolves. If you have any thoughts. Let us know.
