The first GSX-R750 came out in '85 (followed by the GSX-R1100 in '86)......Find one from that year in good original condition and you'll be doing REALLY well!!! Yes

I found this one a few years back. Honda 1989 CBR1000FK had 9.600 genuine k's on the clock (now about 13k). Anyway its going on club plate this April and will cost under a hundred for yrs rego.

Nice find Fonc, she looks like a beauty! Is it a late 89, making it a 90(L) model ?
Colour scheme is different to my old 89 that I had.
Also had a 91 back in the day(black/grey) did over 100k on her.

Picked up this 91 (blue/white) a little while ago, needed a bit of work. hadn't been run for 18 months or so. Still needs a few little things done but getting there.
I know what you mean about the rear shock too Fonc, I've been considering getting an Ohlins for mine.

Yes baz but the first double R came out in 86 even though you might be blue to find a plated 85

The GSXR 750R is a race ready version of the GSXR750... Lighter, faster and a lot more rarer....

Only one I found is about $15,000 lol

I can remember when GSXR11 "slabsiders" were cheap enough
to chop up and use as winter rats when I lived in the UK,
not sure I would now....

Hey Fonc, how's the old girl going?
Picked up another on the weekend, a 92, she's pretty rough but runs well
and a 1 owner believe it or not.
This one may take me a while to put right but couldn't resist it when it was
advertised. I HAVE to stay off gumtree LOL.
Some pics of the old girl.
