Busa ECU
#1
Hi guys ! My name is Daryous from Singapore. This my first time posting and would like to get some tech help.

My bike 03 full black now is 23,000++ mileage. I encounted engine shut off after riding 15mins. That day, I sent for service. Upon collection, my noticed my bike parked outside the workshop and first time ever had caught under a heavy rain. Soon after, my bike is back into workshop again. My mech diagnosed that was ECU problems. My mech who is also riding a Busa uses his with the same parts number plug in and my bike started immediately.

To my best of my knowledge which I had owned many cars and bikes, I never face such problems. ECU would not spoil easily. It has been 04days and till now I still don't believe this happen to me and warranty were already way over.

Can the bros here please advise me what I need to do ?
Or are there any better upgrades complete Busa ECU replacement if I really need to change ? Thinking of turbocharging in the end of the year.

Looking forward to you reply. Thanks a million inadvance.

Welcome aboard Daryous,
Sounds odd that it stoped working just after a service,Did they replace the battery or charge the battery, short something out or jump start while it was there?
is it showing any fault codes?
Water shouldn't effect the ecu as its sealed, and they don't usually give trouble.

Thanks Maj750t for your reply.
There were no fault codes indicated initially. Later after on/off ignition many times, it starts to show something on the FI indicator. Base on the diagnostic manual, it wasn't really that faults. Last solution was to try swapping my mech's busa ECU into mine and it started. Geez ... ...
Now back to my same question. Is this really a ECU problem which most people tell me that it don't usually give trouble. Just like you said.

I don't wish end up doing whole lots of wrong stuff. That is why I need some bros advice here.

Swapping the ecu has probably already isolated the ecu as faulty.
Try asking here www.suzukihayabusa.org/ph...4c8c86481d
There is a much wider range of experiance , you will probably find someone that has had the same problem.

You sure your "Mechanic" didn't swap the ecu while it was in for service with a faultly one ?????

Sorry to sound negative but if I understood you correctly you said that the problem started after the service?

Balckkat, I had the same thought initially. Moreover ECU gone sudden dead, is impossible to know when is your ECU going screw on you. My mech is good, he did nothing wrong. He is also the owner, he can affort more than a orignal ECU.

Yes Maj750t, we had double checked the numbers are the same. Put his ECU into mine started straight away. Maybe I am just one out of a million unlucky Busa. Thanks for your link.
