I had a busa for 7 yrs & traded it a couple of months ago on a B King.
I'm loving everything about it so far. I can feel the wind more being a naked bike, but have a flyscreen on the way to help with that, although I rarely do any high speed riding anyway. It does feel a bit gruntier down low than my Busa was, maybe because it was a gen 1.

Hi , i had a busa for 3 years, did 35,000 ks, loved it but not the riding position. Have a BK now, Fantastic. Done 16,000ks, no problem, have a set of yoshi's, a fly screen, took the pillion pegs off, and a couple of other pling bits, would not go back the the busa.

Too hard a decision for me so I have a B-king and a Busa and just ride my z1000 to work.
Out of the two Suzuki's I recon the Busa is by far the most comfortable for me for long distances, I actually get sore elbows on the BK As all my riding is two up the BK is a little harder for my wife to climb aboard due to the seat height and the bike can feel very heavy at a standstill but once under way its great. You could throw ya hat over the difference in performance it ain't much- the real difference is down to aerodynamics and thats why we have an excuse to own a few bikes. Seriously if you are in traffic a lot the BK tops the two. Norvin

Personaly I find the B-King / unfaired Busa better on long run's, the riding positions nicer than the 2 faired Busa's before them. Its more suited to me and the fairing is only any use at speeds that will cost me my licence. I knocked out a quick 450k's Sunday morning and was back in the pool by mid day. Felt like i'd just been around the block. Several folk have ridden my B-K and all agree with you on how easy it is once on the move, including my partners who is a newbie rider this year. Again, it would have to be one of my worst ever pillion bikes. If you give it the gun and ride hard the pillion with struggle. One thing a Busa in far superior at. Interestingly I ran very close times at the drags, Faired stock Busa and Stock B-King both ran 10.3's. I honestly dont think either a B-K or Busa is a better bike, Its purely down to which suits the rider.

Hello all
The King is unbeatable for around town and up and down the ranges. However, I did Cairns-Townsville-Cairns over the weekend, and the wind blast on the King was getting tiring. I'm seriously looking at making a Busa-based sport tourer. |
