Ok Pan,
How did you go??? Cheers Dee

There were only 12 bikes out there, and "I was the fastest"!
First a 10.8, 2.0 60 foot, so I wasn' thrilled Second a 10.9, but got stuck in 1st gear abit too long, so not a good run. The Tycho and Ruffy tell me to give it heaps of revs and let go of the clutch faster... I did a 1.9 60 footer, then spun through the rest of first gear. The guys enjoyed watching that one. Did a 12.1 I followed up with two lots of 10.7 Consitent all night. Grip was good. Weather was cooler in the evening. No oil leaks from cars. All in all it was great. My Shinko has finally had it (after 6500kms), so I need new tyres though! "sometimes crime does pay"

Star of the night...
Only competition was John on his old cruiser, some new guuy on a Harley, a Buell, a couple of GSXR750's, Ali and a Duc 900. All running 11's and 12's at best. I need Leonard out there to race against me and bring out the best in me like last time! (of course if he's afraid of me, I'll understand) "sometimes crime does pay"

Yeh that was me. Were you on the Trella ride? Did you have a pillion? I saw one Busa with a pillion, but thought that was the other bloke, Simon ("busaboy" or something)

Pan I thought that them shinko tyres were supposed to be sticky? maybe there is an ultra soft compound for the strip.
18-01-2007, 02:41pm
The Shinkos are quite soft and sticky (I'm pretty sure I have the softest compound, I think ), but I had not dropped the tyre pressure on that run with the loss of traction either!
At teh end of the day, even great tyres won't grip on a poorly prepared track though. "sometimes crime does pay"
