Volvi , I still have some Sure catridges along with a Torens turntable ( I remember I like the small counter balnce weights hanging of the side of the arm ) which unfortunately is gather dust packed away.
We now have all digital ----- all sounds Ok to me

Yeah i used to dabble in the hi fi gear too,but i havent updated for quite a few years now.
Lets see,technics direct drive turntable with shure cartridge. Nad power amp,rotel pre amp,yamaha 5 disc cd,and yamaha tuner,coupled to the bose accumass 5 tiny speakers,but do they pump out the sound for their size.You cant see them but boy can you hear the little f***kers. My mate would have to have the best system i have ever heard.Dennon top of the line surround amp,dennon dvd/scd player, main speakers klipsh lascala,you need a hand trolly to move the things,rear speakers,klipsh again.....only slightly smaller than the mains,centre speaker,ummm not sure but i think he paid about 3 gees for it, oh and the manditory plasma shuge tv but boy does this system rock. I think all up he paid about 25 to 30 gees. even you would hear this thing when its cranking........from Sunbury! k Phuck its the phantom!

ya see DJ I wasnt bs'ing re Sure cartridge as Gazza remembers them. Yup those hi fi nuts me included now belong in another era. Frat to think how much one spent on the stuff those days would have to amount to a few busas of today. Ermm I forgot to mention when I got my razamataz unit 901's included, I lived above a mortuary - no shit I did, even the dead were complaining about them Bose speakers.

I was jokin bout the Shure Volvi...I know the brand well.
and they had a very good reputation... Rocket I too have heard those speakers (klipsh la scala) on a hi end turntable front end system and it was the best I had heard too!
