Blood cord run
#1
We had a good little run in Brissy yesterday.
About 700 bikes rolled up at the Mater Childrens hospital for the annual Blood cord run. Funny name eh? I'm informed that it refers to the collection of blood from placentas after birth which can then be used for the treatment of kids with leukemia. Xiler8er and his lovely wife Tracey,Poo Pooh and I turned up to fly the flag, there were a couple of other Busas in the crowd but we didn't get to meet the riders.
After leaving the Mater we rode down the Pacific Hgw. turned off at Loganholme for the first beer of the day at the Shearers Inn and then via some interesting roads to Logan villiage where the ride concluded at a bike and hotrod show.
There followed an auction to raise money for the kids and a general get together.
All in all a good day, a bit of a hog fest but good fun all the same.
Sorry, no piccys, we all forgot our cameras. Speaking of cameras, I don't think there were any radar traps.
Regards
Chopper
