seeking track suggestions....

Missus bought me a free track day for our wedding anniversary and I have a choice of Broadford or Winton.
I've never ridden on a track before, so am looking forward to it but I believe both tracks are pretty tight (and hard on brakes) and sound like a lot of work to run a Bus around!
Any words of wisdom from guys/gals out there that have ridden eitherof these tracks?

Should I just go out and buy myself 600 sports bike fro the track?Very HappyVery Happy

hey Cam i did a ride day at Winton it was awsomeTrophy did about 50 odd laps around the track ...its a tight track on the Busa but its fun plenty of use of the mid range power ... bit hard on the brakes though
the smaller more agile bike are all over you in the tight turns but up that back straight it is so much fun just smokin them they try to get you out of the corners but dont have the power when you crank the old girl over

Thanks Rob,

Sounds like it'll be worth the trip up to Winton. I've heard that Broadford is as tight as a duck arse and I can't say I'd be too keen trying to wrestle my pride and joy around there if that's the case.

I could always get another 750 gixxer................ as a second bike........... or I could just use the cook's GSX750F (phark, since I paid for it, it should be ok and if i throw that down the tarmac, it won't hurt as much as stacking the busa.lol)

I'm in the process of getting a bike trailer (actually saw an enclosed one in SA for sale for $1500 on fleabay tonight) for the same sort of reason...

More power to you.
I'm the king of cocky shit when it comes to welding.
About as much use when it comes to carpentry too. couldn't bang a carrot up a cow's arse with a fryingpan.
I'll stick to being an electrician. I'm not too bad at that

I like Broadford better than Winton , the surface is better quality and consistant quality, it has a few off camber corners and a little more challenging to ride fast, i am not far from Winton and go there fairly often but those repairs to the track mid corner on every other corner are quite variable in there traction so you have to allow a bit .
