Trailering the bike
#1
Can anyone recommend a supplier in Aus of the front wheel chocks?
I'm going to be trailering the bike and would rather use these instead of tie downs if possible.
Can find a few suppliers in the states but cant seem to find any here.
Any ideas?

Have to agree with xhiler8r. Used a Tyre Down to transport my Daytona 4200km, no problems. Just dont be scared to really rachet down on the back tyre. Other than that I fitted a 'U' shaped channel to the front of the trailer, and strapped the front tyre in. No fear of doing fork seals or rub marks Pi_thumbsup

Good videos here.

Thanks for the replys , Its going to be in the trailer for a while thats exactly why i did'nt want to strap the front down (fork seals).
So these tyre downs will keep the bike upright as long as you have a bit of channel up front to support it????????

Thanks,
Dave.

Yep. If you have a front and lower channel to roll the front wheel into, the strap on the rear pulls the bike down and slightly forward. Then I placed 2 holes for eye bolts at the back for the ratchets. When in the trailer on the road, it just works on its own suspension.

If you want a few pics, let me know.

I have done nearly a 100,000k's with the bikes tied down this way and never had a problem.
