front flash police camera

I got Flashed today from a police van, the flash was from the front and there was no second flash.... does this take pics from the front only?? if so how can it get my number plate??

I think your safe, they can't ping you from the front.

Yeah mate you're safe.

Check out the study that vicroads commissioned into front number plates for bikes - they want to identify you from the front but currently can't. Hence the new front number plates that are coming.

Lucky it wasn't taking pictures of the tail end eh? Lol3

Fronts will eventually happen - aint no excuse to have a sticky one on there, our olny fight it to say it devalues and spoils the looks ... groan

While we're on the topic does anyone know which speed cameras get you from the front and which ones take you from behind (pun intended), and which ones do both? Just curious because I wonder whether how where a red light / speed camera is placed at lights can mean it only takes your picture when you ride behind it, rather than meet it from the front. Lol hope that makes sense.
