Hi all,
I have just installed an undertail using the original tail light but have used smaller after market blinkers. I have wired them up the same as the original blinkers and checked each one as I wired them up, they worked ok but a little faster than the original ones. When I wired them all up they worked like hazard lights with all the blinkers working at once no matter what side I had the blinkers set for. Has anyone else had this problem and any suggestions on how to fix it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

sounds like you have a short somewhere maybe when fitting everything back together you might have earthed a wire out on the frame somewhere Regards Bill

I had the same fitting LEDs, maybe the same thing is happening. Draw less watts, amps, thingameeflips or something causing the quicker blink rate.
There's a complicated wiring job you can do, (if this is the problem), up by the left handle bar, or fit a Libertek gadget thing. Expensive but allows you to choose between six blink rates.
I fitted one, so it can't be that hard.
My LED indicators came supplied with ballast resistors to slow the blink rate to normal.
I threw the ballasts out because I like the fast rate, it gets your attention.
hey guys I dont think he is whinging about the blink rate but more about that all the indicators are flashing left and right side at the same time like hazzard lights

A LOT of electrical probs on the bus can be traced to bad earthing points.
The only thing I did different when fitting mine was to earth them through the two threaded but un used bolt holes on each side of the sub frame braces. Never had an ounce of trouble with my present units or previous.

What year model is it?
You haven't put the hazzards on by mistake (04 and up ?).

Hi All Thanks for the help. Have fixed the problem.
This might help anyone else with a 99 bus doing similar mods.
The left blinker the black wire is the power (not earth) the black/white wire is the earth. On the right the green wire is power the black/white is earth.
Had the wires round the wrong way, the led blinkers work both ways.
To slow the blink rate down I used a 10ohm 15W resistor, one on each new blinker.
Thanks again.

I bet that was waayyyyy cheaper than how I did it.
Throwdown.. ya da man!!!
