2 & 1/2 days, nearly 3000kms

Just got back in the wee hours this morning from a fairly hectic trip.
Left Wed night at 6pm from Penrith, got to Bundy 8am thursday morning, left Bundaberg at 10am Friday morning & got back to Penrith just before 3am (after stopping at Silverwater to drop off the passengers I had to go collect)
It was a rescue mission of sorts & unfortunetly it was in the car.
I did spot heaps of busa's on the roads in my travels plus lots of other bikes to boot. Quite a few still making their way back from the island I'm guessing.

3000kms ÷ (2½ days × 12hrs) = 100 kmph --- doubt it.
3000kms ÷ (2½ days × 8hrs) = 150 kmph --- exceeding the legally posted speed limit in NSW & Queensland.
Soon the Communist Australian/NSW/Chinese Labor Government's revenue collectors, the SDRO will send you a fine.
How do you plead ? Guilty or Not Guilty or Mentally Insane due to a Brain Injury Given to You by a Drunk Woman Driver ?

No log book required, first leg from Penrith to Bundaberg was done in 14 hours on the dot thru the night. Only stopped for fuel/drinks/loo stops & they were all completed at the same stops.
Return leg was completed in 15 1/2 hours, left Bundy Friday morning (more stops required due to 8 month old) & got home just into Sat morning. All legal & above board, I swear your honour.

Carefull ya don't nod off & wipe out a Busa, or a drunk woman driver that's sober @ the time for that matter.

We also have a chapter of "Far Riders" here in Canberra, it's nothing for them to do a quick interstate ride just for fun Canberra to somewhere in QLD or South Ozzie, must have caste iron backsides!!

U should have done it on the bike, could have logged it for a FarRide!!
Did u go up the Nosepickers? (New England) & how was wildlife?

I live in Bundy, wish I knew you were coming, would have been good to meet up and share a beer. Would have even been a place for you to stay if you needed it. Sounds like you were on a mission, so perhaps socialising was not a high priority. Let me know if you perform any other mercy missions up here. Cheers.

Thanks mate, yeah it was a very last minute mission. Wish I had of had more notice I would have done the socialising thing.
Went the roadworks nightmare instead of the england, have travelled the new england at night once before & didn't enjoy, too many things jumped out at the truck.
Had to do it in the car unfortunately, we wouldn't have all fit on the bike. lol

Had a few reports of hwy cars over the trip but only 1 I saw was a coffs car with one pulled over on the way down. Saw a few in QLD but they were at roadworks apart from 1. He was escorting an oversize load up past Gympie, got around the rear pilot & the truck in dual lane section but got caught behind him when it merged. We were sitting just on the speed limit when we hit a clear stretch of broken line & his arm came out the window & waved me past. I nearly fainted.
