yeah good tip Aero!
Yeah the busa has a 22L tank [according to workshop manual] with the exception of the E-33 model [California] huh? I thought it was the Canadians that got the smaller tank..
Anyway U mustn't be running it out much, I filled up with 20.5 litres just the other day!
U don't lie the bike on it's side, right?

Only got 55kms out of mine and it stopped dead on the freeway.
I figured it should have beeen good for about 70-80 so didn't back off.
I was only travelling about 130-140kmph but that was enough.
Luckily a guy I was riding with(didn't know him) stopped when my bike suddenly died and got me some fuel.
saved my life!
cheers

I reckon you were lucky to get 55 Ward. Once you get off 110 to 120 the thirst increases heavily. While 130 and 140 isn't anywhere near hard riding, your consumption will increase . Lucky the other bloke stopped for you.

Yeah Wardy, I had to back off tje km/h something fierce when I started getting low on fuel one day riding across the Nullabor to Perth. Had been sitting on 150km/h that day in the morning, when fuel light came on. Closet servo was 88k away after just passing the 90k sign til Balladonia. Dropped speedback down to 120k with bike still fully loaded up, thought I would make it since no stop-starting, but ran out about 12k out !!! ....... Mate used all his 2 litres of spare fuel left in can, did 80km/h (felt soooooooo slow, especially in middle of nowhere and dropping from 150!!!!) into the servo, BUT still ran out about 3k from servo
Lucky, it was an undulating down hill, so eventually rolled into servo, BUT funny thing was watching a road train I previously overtook bearing down on me in my mirrors! I just moved onto the other side of the road as I was rolling at 40km/h to let him pass without swinging his trailers around me, but he just laughed, knew I had run out of fuel, sat behind me and was going to nudge me to servo I reckon if I didn't make it over the last rise!?!?! EVEN MADE IT TO THE BOWSER!! (which was 150m on the dirt road) As I pulled up to bowser where mates were waiting and laughing, this guy in a caravan at the bowser with his family standing there said "Very quiet bike there mate, nice machine" To which I answered "Well, it doesn't make much noise with NO BLOODY FUEL!!!!"
So yeah, if you left the power on like me, that's what happens!!!! ....Cheers Peter
