Speedo Error
#1
It has long been thought that the Busa speedo was out by about 10% and I wanted to check my 99 stock standard bike out to see what it actualy is. Yesterday I borrowed a GPS and taped it to the tank to do just that.At 50,60,70,80,90 it was spot on. and at 100 and 110 it read about 2kph high. The unit I used was able to gve me an accurat reading up to tenths of a kph ie 100.6 etc. Therefore with only 3kph leeway you would have to stick to the reading on your speedo in order to keep your points. On 2 Busa's and both read fast by 17 to 20 clicks at the top end.

Does it really matter ???

Just gotta do it sometimes I know Phil.

Shorty's speedo is the 1st not to lie around those speeds though. Good info Shorty and backed up with a decent GPS unit I expect. Was the reading taken in a straight line and little elevation change?

Woohoo... If the busa speedo is accurate, my 750 is sure to be spot on!

Watched another of those videos, this time a zx10. Speedo went from 252 to 299kph in 2.5 seconds. If thats not a bullshit sproket, nothing is.
