Speed Camera's on power polls
#1
Hi everyone, call me naive maybe but didn't think they had speed cameras mounted on power polls in Brisbane yet. That was until my brother got a photo in the mail today, so we had a closer look at the location along plantain Rd (south side Bris) Sure Enough there it was near the top of a steep hill. In this position it would get you accelerating up the hill or rolling down the hill. I suppose it had too happen eventually as our state govement saw all the revenue that the southern states generate.(money For nothing)

The revenue raising pricks have a permanent camera on Old Northern Rd as well. After you ride through Albany Creek, past the Samford turnoff ther is an excellent right hander followed by a descent down towards Strathpine. If you don't brake you roll down there faster than 80 Ks and the bloody camera gets ya. Arsholes!! Don't let the bastards get ya down.

GOOD:

A motorist was mailed a picture of his car speeding through an automated radar post. A $40 speeding ticket was included. Being cute, he sent the police department a picture of $40. The police responded with another mailed photo of handcuffs.

BETTER:

A policeman had a perfect spot to watch for speeders, but wasn't getting many. Then he discovered the problem - a 12-year-old boy was standing up the road with a hand painted sign, which read "RADAR TRAP AHEAD." The officer then found a young accomplice down the road with a sign reading "TIPS" and a bucket full of money. (And we used to just sell lemonade!)

BEST:

A young woman was pulled over for speeding. As the motorcycle Officer walked to her car window, flipping open his ticket book, she said, "I bet you are going to sell me a ticket to the Highway Patrolmen's Ball."
He replied, "Highway Patrolmen don't have balls."
There was a moment of silence while she smiled, and he realized what he'd just said. He then closed his book, got back on his motorcycle and left.
