Hey all .i have removed my top tripple clamp for chrome plating and was wondering if it was possible to remove the lower one as well . i have looked at the front end and it appears that the shocks are solidly mounted by the bottom clamps but am not sure if this is strong enough to support the bike on the side stand temporarily. any help would be appreciated .

I would use a rear stand and some way of holding up the front, Block of wood under the exhaust or someway of supporting the front of the chasis from your garge ceiling etc.
