Hi guys, does anyone have any comments on the genuine gel seat for a k9? I am thinking of getting one and would just like to know if they are much more comfortable than the standard.Cheers ChrisVery Happy

Everyone has their own opinion. Some like some dont. I personally think that it is more comfortable than standard.

The gel seat is a bit better I found, looks a lot better that the stock one
But you can get a more comfortable one by getting the foam replace

You could Pm big kev (VCM Cycle seats) on this site
& tell him what you want & get a price

I bought mine new from the States via Ebay and payed $180 AUD delivered.

I did a 2000km trip riding 8 hours a day with it on and found it quite comfortable.
At first it always seems a bit firm but softens up as you ride.

Don't leave it parked outside overnight in -5 deg frost you may find yourself sitting on a 4 inch block of ice in the morning Lol2

Done nearly 30000K's with mine. Is OK, I think. Had it since new. They could have made it a little softer. The Gel can be a little hot if out in the sun in summer and takes a while to cool down, I found.

I found the gen 1 gel seat to be a little softer & liked it more than the gen 2, the gen 2 appears to be a bit firm but better than stock. Takes a few more hours before the butt becomes sore.
