Everyone out there who THINK they can ride should go do a track day first then see how they are on cornering and braking, etc, I am sure there style will be found out. Then they should get into the riding Schools(Any) They teach many things especially braking into corners and cornering ,which is the most flawed part of most riders. People say I dont ride fast enough for a school,,, BULLSHIT at one time or other one will exceed his or her abillity and come unstuck, at least if you have propoer skills at a time of that type of emergency you will have a much bigger % of serviving and with schooling you most probabbly not get near that situation in the first place. There were a couple of more riders killed also,I think one at Bringelli (spelling) Yamaha and I forget the other. But its all to tragic for me sometimes and I feel like parking the bike. The more you learn about all types of riding the better.... Cheers,

Do they run any course's in carpark riding? <i></i>
Definitey MUST do a course or two, no matter how much experience you have. Often these instructors are teaching you how to undo your bad habits, which experienced riders all have!!
Since doing the "Stay Upright" Level 1 and 2, I find our long rides so much less scary, no more corners that I run too hot into (though I always have to be careful on the Busa), no problems with emergencey braking, etc...
I'm doing the Cornering and Braking again in 2006...
"still no clever comment to make"<i></i>
Couldn't agree more with Pan and Kawa.
Man just do it.
I plan on doing another course in 2006.
So worthwhile, I'm telling you...and I was VERY sceptical...

Yep me to, I will do the last two Super bike courses. I will probably ride slower on the roads, and hopefully faster on the track days... And also anyone out there riding in jeans,if I were you i would really think about it. f*** it hurts when you have them on.(jeans). Cheers,

Any discounts if a group goes?
Anggita<i></i>
Next Cornering and Braking course is on 27/03/06 at Oran Park.
People interested in group booking/discount?
I could look into it...
Looks like $340 for the day... but I'll find out if we can get it cheaper...

What about the super bike school? Cheers,
Kawasuki<i></i>
Can somebody (Chunky, Kawa or 01Busa) check prices, dates and group discount for superbike school and report back?
I'll do Stay Upright since I've dealt with them before...

I spoke to Joel at Stay Upright.
the Level 2 course called "Cornering and Braking" would be ideal for most of us...
The details are here:
Stay Upright Corneringand Braking Course
I am in negotiations with them on behalf of the Busa Club to look at group discounts, or perhaps booking the course and instructors for a day if we can get enough...
I'll start a new thread when I have more details... <i></i>
