I did the following mod's:
TRE-mod, small airboxmod, PAIR-valve mod.
After the PAIR-valve mod (connecting crankcase directly to valve and close the holes in the airfilterbox) i can feel and hear in the exhausts a little backfire in all gears at lower rpm's.
Who can tell me how to solve this problem??
Put it all back to original, the way that Suzuki intended it. Problem solved!
You'll also be pleased to note that the bottom end grunt will return to how it should be. This is an often overlooked point, don't get hung up on peak dyno BHP figures, they don't count because your engine is never there right? Torque delivery from 1 to 4 grand is far more important for daily on road rideability. With the exception of the TRE mod, everything else you did has probably shagged the bottom end response.
Look at some dyno chart postings, all the modded bikes have less torque compared to stock bikes down low. The ones that don't are either bored and stroked or have a turbo. One of the great things about the busa is its' ability to haul hard from idle, 2 up, in top gear. You gotta ask yourself - what's the point of a couple of extra hp up top that you almost never use?
G'day,
Engine response from 1,000 - 4,000 RPM most important ???.........you must be joking right?

Can you be a little more specific. Does the after fire happen on hard or light deceleration? Has the injection been altered to compensate for your mods? Has the TPS been adjusted to 1.120V?
It sounds like it is lean on the Druck/Jetronic maps. You can have the air/fuel checked on a dyno but make sure the PAIR is totally disconnected from the crankcase breather. It will show leaner than the true reading otherwise.
I'm with you Cahn. Who gives a shit about torque under 4000rpm.
Howdy,
Under 4k is where my "injun" spends a lot of time, I never really thought about riding around in first gear all the time, can't really see a reason why I would wanna do that.
If torque is unimportant to you under 4k, then don't even think twice about fitting a TRE mod, it might actually improve the bottom end.
Perhaps you may be interested in a two stroke.
ps cause you don't know who I am, let me spell out that I am saying all of this "tonque in cheek" I certainly hope I have not offended anyone, sorry if I did but that is not my intention.
Who said anything about riding around in first gear ?
And I personally couldn't give a flying ..... who you are, so instead of "spelling out" why dont you just post something that makes sense.
P.S: No offence
I am just confused

The backfire is caused as a resuly of the pair valve mod.
Don't worry ther's no problem with it.
