Brissy Ride 1st April Ride report
#1
April 1st Ride day let me start by saying (I TOLD YA SO)

Well lets start we had an awesome turnout at the starting point and due to some peoples commitment we had to leave by the designated time of 7:30 I believe around 30 odd bikes to start with. We had a nice ride into Beauy for a little slow over I wont say stop over to wait for the riders at the back and then off to Rathdowney for a group get together where we picked up more bikes and from Rathdowney we had 41 bikes on the trip It was a nice run through the Mt Lindsey range and onto Kyogle we went make note to self when sign says CATTLE on Road believe it hmmm At Kyogle we all refuelled and set off onto Murwillumbah for our supposed to be Lunch Stop at the pub. Well I have heard of the pub with no beer but a pub that wouldnâ€t serve us lunch oh well their loss .Now this is where it all turned to shit I know we said Advance town pub for Lunch and as it turns out everyone but me made it there read heading again in brackets lol .I sort of got lead astray when I followed a bunch of Bikes into Canungra I know I was talking about Canungra as the lunch stop and thought plans had been changed. I arrived at Canungra and rang Shredder to see what happened oh well thems the breaks it actually worked out well for me in the end as I had to rush home to the family anyway

A big thanks goes out to everyone on the ride for a group of 40+ bikes and no incidents I am very happy with the end result. A big thanks to Milsey for the Tail End Charlie Job you were outstanding mate and everyone that tended the corner marking so we all knew where to go (Wish someone had of done that for me for the Advance Town Pub)

To all the people that have never been south on the ride we went on today I hope you enjoyed yourselves and treat yourself to a ride that way again soon. I had fun and I hope everyone else did also. Lets do it again soon

Thanx for putting the ride on Bill, nice to meet some noobs and catch up with the usual suspects again. All the crashed bikes around the joint was a timely reminder. None from our group, but I hope no serious damage to anyone just the same.

Careflight chopper loading bikers in is never a good sight.

Awesome day for us though. Very Happy

Just like to thank Bill for organising the ride. The Mozzies would like to thank Shredder for feeding everyone at the meeting place for the northsiders. I was really just trying to swat the mozzie Shredder!!!! Great to catch up with Dave and Megan and great to meet new people. Maybe on the next ride I will take my bike and Liz and I can have battle of the back since as riders we make lousy pillions. Yup the 2 down wasn't good and I am glad they weren't one of ours. Did you guys see Cowboy and Canungra? Until the next ride. Keep it shiny side up

Thanx Bill for a great days riding..I know there were a couple of hiccups but nothing serious..Being my 1st ride with this club,I didn't know a lot of (well most) you and we didn't do a lot of socialising during the day.Firstly I think I may owe an apology to the duo on the red/black busa..I had to cut back in on you on a corner unexpectedly when a car put in an appearance,I think there was room but if I startled you or put you off please accept my apology.I thought the class of riding was good and didn't see or hear of any mishaps or close calls.Which is always a blessing with a larger group. Lunch without our lost leader, whom I believe was accompanying a 'bird with gps,was not bad at all.But they definitly need better signage.Had a blast and thanks to all who were on the ride. btw;the person down at the 1st accident was a pillion who had fallen off the back of a harley at about 90kmh after suspected fainting..was wearing the right gear and was concussed and skinned about the legs. The 2nd bike with no front end was put into the embankment at speed and he was not very healthy. This info I recieved while talking to the chopper medics for 2 hrs waiting for rescuers at a car accident on Beechmont. Those chopper guys are awesome and we should all remember them on occasion.Gr8 day,gr8 ride, safe ending..if for me a little stressful. See y'all on the next!

That was a fun blast, and I got home just before the rain hit. Don't know if it effected any of you guys going back to Brissy.
Not a bad lunch at Advancetown either.

Looking forward to the next one.

I've got those layouts ready to go for you M8ee when your ready.
