The stickers and the inner lining approval tag are supposed to be sent from the company/s that dictate the standard here in Aus than stuck/sewn in by the manufacturer, another free lance move given by liberal government to the big businessman who in return screw the local dickheads(not all) who buy them.I never bought one helmet thats Aus approved and never will unless its a sample or gift as the reasoning im given(if you can call it that) is retarded, costly and If i want to be fcuked over on every occasion when buying riding gear,Id join a swingers club not visit a bike shop.I don't give 2fcuks about the local dealer as they have had it good for decades and the balance of power has shifted....Google is your friend!!!!!
PS:By the way, some tyre vendors here in Qld have created such a drama that Rocky Mountan ATV in the US who where selling tyres to us had to stop sending to Aus....a little glitch really as a bongo address can fix all that and if anyone wants any more info please feel free to send me a pm.

I agree...I' don't mind paying a premium to buy my stuff here, but there is no way you would get the helmet and chatterbox in Sydney for less than $600-$700 when it eventually arrives (checked Helmet Warehouse in Sydney none in yet)

Heard in a motorcycle shop of reasonable reputation :
"Within 1-2 years the Australian Standard sticker will cease to exist and other existing standards will be recognised "
Snell have far outweighed the ASA since inception so what was once the world standard will become so again.. hopefully.
The government must have milked that cashcow dry...
They were told by the manufacturers not to export to Aus (Michelin, Pirelli & Kenda only), but that "suspension" was lifted a while ago........
