I just knew that would bring a reply! Unlike another poster, no dangling of any sort of meat/veg was required.
Bring on the run......
EDIT: The man was a seriously fast AMA and GP rider. Head instructor for Freeddie Spencer rider school for 12 yrs. Might know a thing or two.
Very sound advice. Remember those new O ring spares for the clutch master......

I agree some of the cornering styles would have caused a great deal of mirth and were an annoyance to a certain HP2 rider!

By cornering style I assume you mean the bit where, apart from a few of the busa's at the front end, you all arrived at the corner at what ever speed, then proceded to park the bike in the middle of the corner, get your trainer wheels out and wheel the thing around the corner, hop back on, light the touch fuse, hang on for the ride along the straight to the next scary corner, crap yourself, get the trainer wheels out and repeat. I remember a certain lady on a Ducati 750 managing to embrass most of you by carrying a shit load more corner speed simply because she carried the same speed down the straight around the corner and so on, hardly touched the brakes, didn't gas it up, just gentle acceleration. preditable and smooth, that is why I was happy to ride with her all day,and we managed to pass most of you. She was never out of shape, never on the wrong side of the road.
Stands back and waits for the howls of indignation to start.
Come on bite, you won't be able to help yourself.
While you are of sharpening your replys try reading this, http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/flashb..._ienatsch/
Pretty much sums up my belief to riding on the road.

HP2 Tanya and i have just got back today from 2 days of Perth, Pemberton and back.
Rooboy, i had a altercation with a killa kookaburra that kissed my helmet on the Boya Brook road (almost as big as the one that tried to carry you away from the chalet that morning :-). ) Tanya said it was one of the funniest things she has seen.
I totaly agree Kiwi it is a much nicer ride doing a good steady pace than the boom bust on the tight roads.
Tanya and i wish we where coming with you all this week. Especially Bart and Gloria it would be good to see you on a Busa together :-)
Stay safe Guys and see you all on the next one.

And good old BMW fronted up and replaced the entire clutch master even though the bike was out of warranty.Just as well as a new Brembo master wouldn't be cheap.
Didn't we lose a busa in the first 10 minutes last time, saw a corner and hid under a power pole wire. Another went on the trailer when it layed down while braking through gravel. The lone Honda chewed a regulator, a Ducati snapped a chain on the way back to Kal, might have something to do with the amount of time spent pretending it was a unicycle. It was impressive to watch.
Correct me if dementia has clouded my memeory, didn't 2 BMW,s start and two finished under their own steam, 100% success rate, no trailers, no robbing one to mend the other.
The piss taking has started early this year, should be a great weekend.

Hoohooharrharrrr! I'm really looking forward to this.
And.... true to form, my bearing shells have finally arrived. Just in time for a last minute mad rush to get the other engine ready in time for the run!

As a former aviator I am never lost, just temporarily unsure of my current position (from time to time).

Spent some time looking at some Camel creations; beats me how he shoe-horned that RR Merlin two stage supercharger into the frame. Shame the RAAFA Museum want it back after the run.

the blinged up thongs are a life time award for lucky85.
Seems only fair as Michelle has to live with the trauma, flash backs and have ongoing counselling to deal with viewing the king of sausage. The look on her face when the penny dropped (or so she thought)and she had a second look was priceless.
Glen,
What shit stirring, just stating the facts.
You seem to have me confused with someone else.
I am the shy quiet one.
Have a safe trip down.

I'm hanging out for this and new tires will be going on a couple of days before the weekend. Unfortunately I have been out of the loop for a while thanks to planning the rebuild for the motor in the car, travelling far and wide to obtain another project, and now back at work for another 2 weeks. I was quite bummed to hear that Hayabusavich has piked on this as he was the one who pushed me to commit to this weekend but I'm sure all will be just as good anyway. At least I'm not going to be the one to miss out on a great weekend :)

Ha Ha , Same.
Replaced the clutch slave cylinder the other week and took the bus to the RAC track to get the feel of her again. Practiced the pace where everyone else was practicing to be Marquez that day but I made it around the track & home safely and have not fired her up since.
Two weeks to go hey!! Two years ago I thought I had all the time in the world.
T'Shirts will be ready to be Picked up from Sat 9th Novemeber.
I will be in Bibra Lake on that Saturday in the arvo so if you want to pick them up then that would be great or we can arrange to have them picked up from my bike shop in Bennett Springs (Beechboro).
Kevie is looking at taking a few to his place for the Kal guys so let me or Kev know where you want to pick them up from.
I just don't want to be lugging 54 shirts come Friday morning.
Shirts are just $27 again this year, so if you could EFT the money this week would be great. Please put your forum name down in the message / Reference box so I know who you are that has paid.
Bank Details are:

Please don't make me chase you up for the coin on the day.
Cheers, Mark
