Busa to be discontinued for 2008
#16
I'm just hoping that we finally get the real info in 2 weeks time, i did read something about the release of the info near the end of june, so i guess it shouldn't be long and all the speculation will end. I'm starting to think maybe i shouldn't be letting go of the copper just yet, especially after catching up with the guys again tonight.

i dont care what colours they are actually i would rather they stop making them and for those that have had the chance to ride one and even lucky enough to own a couple well we are the blessed ones I personally believe that the unrestricted models are the ones to get a hold of there is nothing better than seeing that 340kmph speedo face when all the later ones only see 280 ks I know they only way i will be getting rid of this bike now is when they pry it away from my dead hands apart from that it will never be sold

what ever way suzuki go try and hang on to your beast josh you will regreat selling. i my self can not see the end of the busa as volvi said the 07 model is down in price i saw one today down to 15,490 they would not be doing this if it was going to be the last busa made. copper owners can say they have the first and best colour then you have the black/purple with the lowest selling numbers not many girls ride busas Lol3 but sorry the k3 black/silver is the most desired bike being australias 40th anv model Lol3

long live the Hayabusa

Astrobusa Wrote:Oh... and another interesting statistic. In terms of the total number of bikes produced in a particular colour combination.... guess which Suzuki's are the rarest ???

Yup... #1 is the 2004 Black / Purple Hayabusa and #2 is 1999 Copper / Silver Hayabusa. These are the only two colour combinations that Suzuki has never used before (or since) on any model of any bike they've ever produced. Both these colour combo's were only in production for one year, but there were more Copper/Silvers produced in 1999 than Black/Purples in 2004.

All other colour schemes used on Hayabusa's either have had more bikes produced or Suzuki has used the same colour combo's on another model within their range over the years.

At last... we Black / Purples are on top !

mmmm, red/silver ??

dont think I seen it on another bike besides the busa & hardly see any with my colour setup - think 2 besides mine in vic & one up there in NSW?

the guesswork about about the new Hayabusa will end Wed June 27 between 5:30-6:30pm at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada during the Suzuki Dealer meeting. The rest of the world will know Thursday whether it is a Hayabusa 1500 or Hayabusa 1600 or a new iteration of the 1300. This will be an ahead of schedule release, as new models are normally introduced around September. Suzuki says they plan to release many new models.

Letâ€s hope itâ€s something way more innovative than the 2007 Hayabusaâ€s simple color changes. We will update the 2008 Hayabusa wiki entry as more information becomes available. Anyone else with more information can feel free to contribute.

New Hayabusa a Certainty for 2008?
By Dirck Edge
Motorcycle News of England is reporting it has inside information Suzuki will introduce an all-new Hayabusa later this year as a 2008 model. The driving force behind this is Euro III emissions requirements, which will necessitate a replacement of the existing machine.

Although the new bike is claimed to be faster and more powerful, no details are reported. Styling is claimed to be an evolution of the existing machine, while components get significantly upgraded (radial brake calipers and braced swingarm, for instance).

The big question is whether Suzuki intends to take on Kawasaki's massively powerful ZX-14 in the horsepower wars. If engine displacement remains relatively unchanged, as MCN suggests, this will be a difficult task for Suzuki.

I'm trying to get confirmation about the numbers sold for each colour combo. Whoever it was that mentioned red/silver, remember the numbers I was given were 'colours not used on any model' not just a busa. There was a red/silver version of one of the suzuki cruisers some years ago. I don't remember it but maybe it never came here?

Go ahead Suzuki... release a new one. I'm happy with mine. Or.... don't. Makes no never-mind to me.

I actually think that suzuki would be stupid to release a new busa! It seems like good thinking on suzuki's part if they do to call there zx14 beater another name. How do you beat a classic bike like the old busa. May be call it R14 or R15 whatever it is it will be a beast.
