I went to the dealer today to get a quote for 08 RS-3 Stainless/Carbon Slip-On "yoshi" by the way I ordered my previous one from USA just wanted to cut the hassle and buy it from Sydney and was told $2100 i couldn't stop laughing to his face cause I got my 07 shipped for $1000 anyways went to this bike accessories and parts shop was told $2200 I cant believe how much they wanna rip you off, you can buy same product from their website(offical yoshimura website) for only $940 straight to your door.
I reckon we get ripped off for everything busa should be 14,500 for some reason its 18400+ORC and this is the funny thing it would cost me less to buy an Australian holden monaro from USA"pointac or whatever over there" and get it shipped here than buying from Australia, my brother bought a 05 or 06 mustang as new for 20k(he lives in USA) in Australia 98 model mustang is K50+ or K60+

Update: I agree with you guys that different economy effects prices but in many cases its greedy private companies. We have been taken over by china in every product, USA bought many of our Aussie companies, its greedy people out there that are doing this, cheap crap products at David Jones made in china they buy it for 5$ and sell it for $100, dont forget all the jobs that are going to India, is it because of economy? i dont think so its just about making profit. Even "can tomatoes" are coming from china which they use human manure, I watched this program on TV where Aussie companies had to dump tons of tomatoes because they cant compete with Chinese products. Most companies are bought out by American giants and china , all our doctors comes from India . I just like to see Australia sell its own products and have its own Doctors thats all cause we are very capable of doing, plus you cant even compare Chinese products with Australian products.

Also about moving to other country Ive traveled the 7seas :) there is not 1 country in the world that could compare to Australia.
