Ward P Wrote:I'm heading down to PI next week for a cornering school next week, and my rear tyre's about 80% shagged. Fronts still in good nick.
So I'm after some advice.
would you
1. buy a new std rear tyre and ride 400kms down for the track day?
2. buy a new tyre whilst travelling thru Melb.
3. or get one at the track on the morning.(I assume they sell and fit tyres?) or maybe get something a little more sticky.
Also front is a Pilot power - any good???
what will match up to this, or just rely on the fitter for advice.
current rear is a BT020.
All comments welcome . . .
I would suggest Bridgestone 002 street (NOT RACE) the street hold on pretty good and u get some wear out of them. But if u dont care about wear get the Supercoarser sc1 front and sc2 rear.
