90% of us will slip up the middle when the traffic is stopped or very slow (30k/h or under), but heaps do it at any speed.
Today the freeway was travelling well. Between 70k & 90k all the way. (current speed limit is 80k due to roadwks), & there were still idiots going up the middle at those speeds. f*&^ing wankers.
I like to ride to one side of the lane so I can see past the vehicle in front of me. Today I was doing this at about 80k odd & another bike came right up behind me & started revving & blowing the horn at me to get out of the way so he could pass.
I felt like kicking the idiot over as he went past.
One thing I did notice, almost all of them were either L Plates, P Plates or small bikes (650 less). Probably only about 10% of them were "big" bikes.
Looks like all of the up & coming riders are learning some poor road habits. No wonder the bike death toll is rising.
Could not agree more, If Iâ€m passing between lanes and spot a bike I will not pass him/her until I am certain its safe by being waved on or moving into another lane and so on. Its just common bloody courtesy. By the way, what parts of the Monash do you use as I may be able to give you a few short cuts to avoid the traffic if youâ€re heading the right way. I commute to and from the city from Frankston, drop me a line if you want to discuss this further, always happy to help.

Sorry I missed this post matey. Only found it now cause I wanted to bitch about another cockhead that I've seen at least 2 or 3 times a week.
This Wanker makes me laugh every time I see him. He's blasting between the traffic which is flowing at speed. The dickhead is obviously aware of motorcycle safety as he's wearing a high-viz construction vest & on the back of his hard box are "Touched by the Road Toll" stickers plastered all over it.
I figured he'll BE the road toll soon enough.
To answer your question.
I live at Rowville. Get onto the Monash at Wellington Rd & off ar Toorak, up Auburn rd to my office on Burwood rd at Hawthorn.
